I don't understand why so many love this movie

Why?

Why do you guys not see it as inferior to his first two?

I really don't get it. Seriously.

reply

Keep in mind that 80% of humanity is stupid then you might understand why people love shit movies like this. YOu are welcome

reply

lol thanks

reply

But it's not a shit movie and inferring that everyone who likes this movie are stupid is pretty smug, arrogant, and self-righteous.

reply

good for you

reply

of course

reply

Inferior to Quantum of Solace, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA thanks for the laugh.

reply

That alone destroyed his credibility.

reply

This is the only Bond film with no plot holes

reply

That's not true though.

Javier Bardem inexplicably changes into a policeman outfit faster than Sir Roger donned clown make-up in Octopussy. And that was questioned even back in the Rogertainment era.

The beefy Sid James films are supposed to be more realistic, yet this costume change was impossible and as the disguise is then central to the plot, I believe what we have here is what those in the industry would call a complete stonewall plot hole...

reply

I've tried this experiment at home. It took me 3 minutes to change into a police uniform. In Octopussy, its a problem because the face makeup is perfect and a clown outfit takes longer to put on than a police uniform. Everyone knows that

reply

I appreciate your dedication to getting to the bottom of this. How long, may I ask, did it take you to apply your clown face make up?

But irrespective, the fact remains that Bardem changes into a policeman outfit in an impossible timeframe, within a London underground setting. We're definitely looking a plot hole.

reply

I never tried the clown makeup job because the makeup was too complicated. How long does it take to put on a shirt, pants and hat for the police uniform? Should only take a few minutes. He was wearing a 1 piece outfit while in jail

reply

earlbenson no dude, it's VASTLY superior to Quantum.

reply

Probably because people swallowed the hype surrounding the film about the first "real" art director in the franchise. Also the 50th anniversary of the Bond franchise probably helped a lot. In fact, many of Sam Mendes' choices ruined the end of Daniel Craig's story as Bond. Quantum of Solace was still okay in retrospect. Now 12 years later, I enjoy mostly Adele's song and the conversation scene between Bond and Severine at the casino from this movie and that's about it.

reply

The Roger Deakins photography probably plays a big part.

Casino Royale was easily the best of the Craig movies. Skyfall is in the running for the second best.
