Has Hemsworth or Disney/Marvel said that this is his last Thor film…

…as a lead or supporting actor?

Both of them say if you throw enough money at them then this will go on forever.
Waititi has yet to officially confirm a fifth Thor film nor his involvement, but he has not definitively said that there will not be a Thor film either. Thor star Chris Hemsworth has expressed enthusiasm towards reviving his MCU character, though has yet to hint at anything concretely in development either.

Thanks! I guess he could continue take cameos in other MCU films indefinitely. And since we’ve we’ve been introduced to fat-Thor, he needn’t even stay in shape.

reply

He seems to be the only actor from the OG Avengers that actually enjoys playing this role

reply

Yeah. To a greater extent than for most other solo superhero movie series, the Thor films have become ensemble affairs with many costars sharing significant screen time. As a result, I’d guess Hemsworth’s movies are less demanding on him than for others.

reply

He also just seems like a more likeable person than Evans and Downey Jr. Evans and Ruffalo in particular I've heard are docuhebags in real life

reply

He does seem like a good fellow.

reply

Dawney Jr. is just too rich to care.

reply

I would expect Ant Man and Wasp will get a 4th movie also.

reply

Nope, Chris wasn’t the only one who loved his time in the MCU.

RDJ said many times he loved playing IronMan but was retiring from role due to his age. He said he wanted to leave the part when people still loved him as IronMan he wanted to leave the role being at the top with his character.

When Civil war was released a reporter once asked him if he was near his end in the franchise and said it was true saying “ I respect any sports player when he knows it’s his time to hang the jersey”

He didn’t want to be like Roger Moore at the end of his tenure as Bond.

reply

He's getting a 5th. It's teased in the after credits that Thor will return. Which probably means in Avengers movies and his own.

reply

But I hope his adversary won't be THAT Hercules. I would rather have Thor vs CGI Crowe's Zeus.

reply

They are gonna trumpet from the heavens Hemsworth's last appearance with Thor, just like with RDJ, just to make sure everybody goes to see it. He'll be back for sure.

reply

He is out of any more Guardians movie with moving back to Asgard and teaming with that little girl now. He will be in another Thor movie with them bringing back Sif now.
