Heroic black protagonist, yet not at all a Woke movie.

This is a perfect example of how a movie with a likeable black protagonist can be made without trying to ram propaganda and "evil white man" garbage down the audiences' throat. I miss the days when black actors were allowed to just act in an entertaining movie instead of being forced to act as avatars of the black struggle for freedom from oppression and the evil white patriarchy. It was only 12 years ago, but those days feel like a lifetime of propaganda and anti-white hatred.

How do you SJWs see this film? Do you think Washington plays an Uncle Tom or what?

12 Years a Slave, Get Out, Till, The Shape of Water, Black Klansman, The Woman King, Emancipation, any of the fifty movies on this list https://www.harpersbazaar.com/culture/film-tv/g32837611/black-lives-matter-movies-netflix/ etc. etc. etc.

I was on an airplane and amazed to see the airline infotainment screen on the seatback in front of me actually segregated movies by race, gender, and sexual preference. When you think it through and contemplate the corporate decisions that led to the groupings, it leads to some ugly analogies. How is this selection process different than organizing food menus based on stereotypes of what black people like to eat?

History is frequently used for propaganda. When they release these films in a time of racial unrest to deliberately inflame the situation, it becomes propaganda.

You are aware that after WWII ended that both Russia and the USA put Nazi agents into high positions of power within both of their governments, right? And that they were using Nazi technology and psychology in both our space and military programs, right? Probably not...

Um...so after all of that, they put the Bible on a shelf next to the Koran as if they're equal. Yes, there was woke propaganda in this film. Not all propaganda is, pun intended, black and white.
