I wasn't going to watch it since it sounded like a very generic movie, but then I saw that it was directed by the Argentinian director who made the great "Wild Tales". I went to see it without knowing much what to expect (since there were no previews for it at all) and I was very pleasantly surprised.
Hadn't heard of this at all until now.

shareOnly problem was the forced woke bits put into it. Not talking about the female lead, that wasn't a problem. But having the lead FBI guy be gay and throwing in the dinner with his partner had nothing to do with the story so it just stuck out as woke virtue signally, you can also add to that the extensive slaughter house scene which seemed to be intended to be a way of putting down the eating of meat. I mean was there really a reason to linger on the process of butchering and skinning a cow when it had nothing to do with the story?

shareOh Mabel you poor clueless girl. The whole scene of dinner with the gay boss has zero to do with the story. If it had been necessary to move the story along then it isn't a problem but when they throw something like that in that doesn't move the story then it comes across as virtue signally.
shareDidnt felt forced at all. The role could have been also just swapped to his highschool darling and it had not played out any other. If you call this woke, then you have a problem.
And the White Supremacy was also quite realistic to me, you do this shit show of a call in show and you basically invite the QAnon idiots in. But I have to agree, that it was overdone on the shop. The guy calling in at the show and show off to his team OK, but how they behaved in the shop didn't felt right to me. At that I give a point, could have been easily fixed.
