They should have hired the people who did the deaging from Marvel.

Cause whatever they did to Will Smith looks like early 2000s CGI instead of 2019...

Should have been played by Leonardo DiCaprio and Dane DeHaan. No need for complicated CGI.

damn its that bad? I was hoping it was the same people that did Antman.

It's not the worst thing ever, but you can tell it doesn't look as good as what we saw in Ant-Man and other Marvel films.

If Ant-Man was 90% there (or even higher), Gemini Man looks like something between 70%-80% there. For me, the mouth movements for the young Will Smith look very dodgy. Check out the trailer to see what we mean.

Really because after watching Trailer. I thought it pretty spot on as to how Will Smith used to look at the start of his career. It looks a lot better than the De-Aging they did for Jeff Bridges in Tron Legacy in 2011. So.

That wasn't a de-aging effect in Tron Legacy, that was a completely digital head on top of a double's body.

I thought it looked pretty good myself. Of course you can ultimately tell it's special effects but I've yet to see something that's totally convincing. It's always a little "off" no matter how good a job they do.
