Should have brought back Nolan, Bale and the rest of the TDKT crew

Such a wasted opportunity

Would have been a certified hit in that case.

NolanTards are SNOBS

They love proclaiming that The Dark Knight, in being so “realistic”, is somehow the most true to the dark, psychologically intense world of Batman. They say this because:
(a) They want to convince themselves that Batman comics really are intended to be this realistic and intense and
(b) They want to convince others that what they read is so realistic and intense so that they can feel less embarrassment at still reading them in their 20s and 30s. The reason they overrate that movie so much is because so much personal validation is tied into that movie for them. So the more realistic the movies are, the more comic fans will claim to anyone who will listen that they just witness a movie that is exactly like the books they’ve been mocked for reading for decades.

WB reportedly are desperate to patch things up with Nolan. They'll pay him a record salary to make a Justice League movie that's just the JL members debating for two hours in the Hall of Justice.

Christopher Nolan's batman trilogy are the only DC movies I thought were truly great, especially the first one.

But he is also the producer of most of Zack Snyder's DC films. I think even Zack Snyder is history now, at least at DC.

This movie is made by a new generation of DC film makers, the first of many, or maybe it is game over after this.

Nolan's name on the film wouldn't convince people to pay money to watch Ezra Miller on screen.

I would have preferred if they did a take on the flashpoint paradox movie. An asshole Aquaman at war with the Amzons.
Thomas Wayne is batman, Martha Wayne is the Joker. While I liked the Flash movie, a grittier version may have worked better. Joker movie and Logan proved we can have darker movies.

reply

I haven't seen The Flash yet, but Flashpoint Paradox is a great movie.

To be fair Flash being unable to save the dimensional planet he's on from destruction caused by Anti Flash is fairly dark. Frankly though I don't think every DC film should be the same tone as Nolan's Batman movies. People hated Man of Steel (I like it though) so it seems pretty apparent that the majority of people don't agree with you on that.

..or instead of two Ezra Millers, they should have brought in Grant Gustin.

TDK was average - 6.5/10 from me. TDKR was utter illogical rubbish. MST3K territory honestly. A 1/10 from me for TDKR.

The best Nolan movie was The Following. Interstellar was another illogical unscientific nonsense. But it was way better than TDKR. Interstellar is a 6/10 from me tops.

Batman Begins was actually very good. I gave that an 8/10. Christian Bale was good as Batman. However, Batman overall is a joke honestly as a superhero. He's basically an Inspector Gadget type guy who operates at night. Anyone would shoot his jaw off from afar and be done.

Movies like Batman v Superman shows how illogical and bad DC has become. And resorting to the same lame "oooh magic kryptonite found in vast quantities and made into fine power form" nonsense.

Marvel comics is a lot better.

Finally, re. The Flash, I will eventually watch it. I like The Flash and the TV's The Flash guy was the best - Grant Gustin I think. He really nailed the role and look. Shame they didn't take him for movies. He'd have been amazing.

And Supergirl is cute but rubbish costume look honestly. Where's the cool iconic skirt? If you're that ashamed of your costume then your movies will be doomed.
