Berta was the best character of the show.

That's all.

Her comedic timing just bounces right off of any line or situation involving any character in her scenes. Granted the comedic element is written in, but she fires it off like no one can.

Except maybe for Holland Taylor (Evelyn). They are both by far the funniest characters in the series. Not that the rest aren't funny, but the series would likely have tanked earlier without them. Well, in my opinion anyway.

Berta's timing was impeccable. There were a few times I was watching the show while eating. I literally spit out a mouthful of food laughing at one of Berta's comebacks.

I've always liked Conchatta Ferrell in everything I have seen her in. I remember seeing her in guest parts on sit coms in the 70s. I use to think it was a shame that she wasn't a regular or that she didn't have her own TV show.
She was one of the best parts of Two and a Half Men.

Agree her and Jake but mostly Berta, especially when Walden buys her the car for her birthday.

She's fantastic. But I liked Evelyn better

reply

She often had good lines but I found her character hard to like.

Berta often get a lot of great lines, but her timing in delivering them was flawless. The whole cast just clicked.
