Releasing a movie in two parts doesn't work

Kill Bill Vol 1 will always tower over Vol 2. By the time Vol 2 came out the whole thing had lost its momentum. This is also what Joseph L. Mankiewicz wanted to do with Cleopatra, it wouldn't have worked out either. A 4 hour picture doesn't work either. No film should be over 3 hours. 3 And a half AT THE MOST. This would have been great at a solid 3 hours.

The first movie is kind of solid, but the second movie has so much filler it makes your mind boggle while your spirit tries to leave your body due to sheer boredom.

If these movies were trimmed properly, they would fit nicely to maybe less than 2 hours easily.

The 'pimp'-scene is completely unnecessary, for example. Budd's work problems are irrelevant. The 'anime' stuff is not really needed, it's too cliché and typical to be interesting, most of Carradine's slow-as-tortoise-speeches and preachings just slow down the pace and feeling considerably, as interesting as some of the points he makes might be.

Scenes are dragged on for longer than need be, and weird and unnecessary scenes are peppered throughout. The classroom-stuff, for example, what's that supposed to be about? All the driving scenes are basically filler. The whole list-thing could've been done in a more compact manner.

The second movie's best parts are the training montage (the only part that comes off as too short), and the ending 'family' scenes (which could've been much better, and the 'watching a video together' could've bee a lot shorter, if included at all).

So basically, the first movie plus second movie's training montage is enough. Most of the rest is just boring, slow filler that gives nothing to the viewer.

Justice League is proof of this.

It might be a cool experiment for Tarantino or another filmmaker to release a new part of an ongoing series every few months or 6 months for multiple years, almost like the modern feature-length equivalent of old film serials. For example a cinematic work could be released as 6 two-hour volumes over the course of 3 years. It’s almost like what Marvel has done with their superhero films.

More is better for me. A great work of movie making all around.

Oh shut up you TART.

So travel back in time to 2003 and see if you can get Tarantino to listen to you instead of Harvey Weinstein.
