Theory: Jack Dawson never existed

they state seveal times that there was no record of jack ever existing. Rose was just a senile old bitch getting her muffin cooked at this fantasy story she recreated and likes to imagine actually happened.

Interesting theory. She would’ve been totally broke too as she and Zane hadn’t been married yet. A guy with his means would’ve ruined her after they got back.

reply

There was no record of Jack on the Titanic Registry because he and his friend used other people's tickets that he won in a last minute poker game. He absolutely existed - in the movie.

But somebody drew the sketch of her wearing the diamond necklace. Since she knew who would have filed an insurance claim for the 'lost' necklace she had some credibility.

Theory: Jack Dawson never existed

Fact: he didn't. Clue: this was fiction.

reply

What evidence do you have to back this up? The film provides no proof that she's lying.

reply

true but that is why it's entirely speculative. many scientists throughout the film accuse her of lying for fortune and fame, and that she's an actress so she will be a good liar. when she tells her fascinating story, everyone is won over by her charm and charisma, just like what she would do when acting.

reply

But she really had the necklace, meaning she is who she said she was and that explains why the necklace wasn’t in the safe. Her story lines up with what we know is true (what isn’t shown in her flashback)

reply

That is so incredibly dumb, I cannot stop laughing.

reply

thank you :)

He certainly wasn't named among the five crew members onboard...

reply

i heard about this fan theory before: Jack Dawson never existed, he was just a figment of Rose's imagination.

When these fans are not doing "fan theory" part time, they're full time flat-earthers.

reply

So how do they explain him borrowing a suit from Molly Brown?
