How could anyone think black and white looks better than color?

I just don't understand.

reply

In this case may be yes. Normally is color better.

reply

I think the black and white is perfect. It captures the melancholic atmosphere.

Spielberg shoting style was meant to be similar to a documentary and pretty much all video footage of WWII was in Black and White so I think it was a good choice.

reply

Yes it was an excellent choice.

reply

Dramatic reasons

How could anyone think black-and-white looks better than color? First of all, by having an IQ higher than yours.

I don't think OP was trolling. There are a lot of uncultured swines that dismiss B&W films.

I know this thread is too old for a reply since the OP is a ghost but just watch the original Psycho film then watch the colorized remake. You'll see why some films are just better in B&W. Although I wouldn't mind seeing a colorized version of Schindler's List. It might work pretty good. I would actually buy a DVD set of this movie if it had the original and color versions.
