Terrible book and worse movie.

Just horrible.

How can you dis-credit the book? I thought it was brilliant. You obviously have VASTLY different tastes than people who appreciate this novel, and I can guarantee you, there are allot of people who do. As for the mini-series, I couldn't give a *beep* who likes/dislikes it.

"That's it. It bit into his arm-pit. Like It wanted to eat him, man. Like It wanted to eat his heart."

Sorry andremicaelbroc the top wasn't meant for you - It was for noneother than the first and top post (bmfer-1). Like I say, How can someone dis-credit the book?

Well at least you didn't like the movie. If you said the book was terrible and the TV mini series was great, that would be worse than blasphemy! (I'm not religious)

reply

There's no accounting for taste. I personally think that the book is one of his very best.
The miniseries did try, but left a great deal out.

No both were quite good
That is all

I'd be curious to know the OP's problem with the book.
Was it too long? Didn't hold the OP's attention?

The book was great. bmfer obviously wanted to get a rise out of fans. In one word.....
TROLL. 🤡

WOW! I just saw another of my posts on this very thread! Hot Dang!

the book has A LOT of drivel.. but that's just King's MO

the history of Derry, and the interludes are top shelf though
movie is meh.

Book was good, much better detail...some cool stuff left out. One kid saw a werewolf type character wearing a high school football jacket.

I think the book is great until the last few chapters, it interweaves the sadness of growing up within the horror of the monsters.
The orgy in the sewer and some of the other random sexual perversions seem jarringly out of place. I thought King was just being self indulgent.
