Out of all of SKs novels, and any other book in general, It is the one I've read the most! I get personal preference and all that, but how anyone can say this book is bad in anyway I can't take that seriously.

...we are all entitled to our opinions, even if yours is wrong for the most part.

The book: Absolutely one of Stephen King's best novels, only possibly behind The Eye of the Dragon. Absolutely terrifying and intense with amazing attention to detail. Stephen King at his absolute best.

The movie: While admittedly it has not aged well, I just re-watched it tonight for the first time in a while. Name me one other movie that has made people more afraid of something? This TV series was amazing for the time it was made and for the budget. And even in younger people who have seen it, has caused a lot of people to hate clowns (or hate them more).

The acting is not the best, Mike Hanlin's actor and John Ritter being the standouts. but for being made for TV (rated PG) it is pretty good all things considered. It definitely has some moments that are still creepy or unsettling. And Tim Curry's portrayal of Pennywise is the best and most unsettling thing about this, it is like he BECAME IT. He plays it like he is IT, more or less.

Why do you people that start these type of topics never explain themselves or ever come back. My guess is that they are just trolls who have pitiful lives so they just want to cause trouble.

i agree they are a troll. i love the book, and i still love the film. it's not a tv series a mini-series that's still a film a tv movie anyways. and i think the acting is pretty solid in it. as for Halloween 3 i don't mind that one.

it's not that bad of a film, it's one of the better ones. evil toy company isn't' that bad of an idea. it's much better than say Catwoman which has the same plot as a 90s' prime time soap. no that film isn't a horror like halloween 3. but it is a horror to watch.

Obvious troll. Posts two words, never comes back. The history shows posting in obscure movies to try to seem edgy and contrary. Ignored.

Agreed. The gang bang in the book was particularly egregious. And I get so annoyed when King gets fixated on bullying. He was clearly bullied as a kid and has somewhat of a chip on his shoulder and it manifests in some preposterous stories. Ever noticed how the bullies in King's books ACTUALLY try to murder their victims instead of, I don't know, making fun of them, wrestling them, pushing them, etc? Maybe Maine is different from the rest of the country but this world that King portrays is ridiculous.
