This was a good movie but . . .

This was a good movie but, it had a strange ark, and it didn't have a climatic ending.

The beginning and the middle were intense, but the ending kind of fizzled out.

I sort of agree with that.

I think it had a satisfying ending.

The climax happened with Frances McDormand on the hospital.

There they let out their anger and devised a nice plan to get the goons, and so they did. From this point until the end it was the unfolding of this plan.

It’s a very powerful movie imo, I thought the horrific nature of the story itself kept the movie intense the whole way through.

reply

This movie is the shit!
The op wanted a more hollywood ending, I understand but it s better this way, it s more real.

reply

Powerful movie indeed and it’s very close to the real events . This is by far the best movie about the racial climate back then

reply

I think the agent wupping the guy in the barber's chair, along with the subsequent arrests made the ending perfectly climatic.

It's "arc", not "ark" (by the by).

I mean, unless he was talking about a large boat.😉

I think it's to indicate that they won this battle but it was going to a lot longer to win the war. IE - they hadn't really accomplished anything.

reply

Yeah, only things I would change about the movie are the rather dated and repetitive score with that sort of thudding synth beat sound popping up all the time, and the way the ending was handled. I thought simply rushing through all the arrests and revealing in text what their sentences were felt a bit flat.
