Who would boycott any sequel without Roseanne Barr?

I would. It sends a message to Hollywood SJW pandering.

I also stopped watching Two+half Men after Charlie was exiled.

reply

I will watch. Won't boycott.

It will take care of itself over time. I don’t think people that will watch it to spite Roseanne will stick long enough to make a series featuring supporting cast last. I could be wrong. We will see. I never cared for the show before not likely to watch it without its star.

reply

Pretty much how I feel but I will most likely watch the first episode to see how it's handled. I imagine the curiosity factor will translate to big ratings for the first episode and then time will tell if it can last.

reply

I have always loved the show, original and reboot. I will be watching!

reply

That's how I feel. I loved the original series and was enjoying the reboot. I will definitely tune in to "The Connors."

reply

I didn't watch the reboot.

Will watch it now at least to see how they handle it. If it's any good I'll keep watching.

reply

perhaps they'll explain her away due to her recent addiction

reply

If they do that they are telegraphing that they are leaving the door open for a return

The last thing that happened this season was that she was having a 'last meal' before going in for a knee replacement in the morning. Easiest way is that she did not make it through surgery.

I'm one of the "OG" Roseanne show fans--I grew up watching this show as it air each season. I never would have given a spinoff a chance back then but I will now. Here is is why:

-Roseanne was a dominating presence in the old seasons. In revival, she was NOT. In the revival she felt almost like a background character and Roseanne just didn't seem to slide back into the role with the same ease Goodman and Metcalf had. Roseanne was one of the least interesting characters this time around and many people complained about how something seems "off" about her in this revival season

-The revival was surprisingly good and I think Goodman and Metcalf may have just enough to make this interesting and worthwhile. Those two (along with Parsons) are my favorites in this show and always have been. I want to see more of these other characters

-Times have changed. Roseanne didn't have the same fire and bluster as she used to this time and the revival groomed me in a way to accepting the possibility of a Roseanne-less spinoff. She's not the same anymore. Dan and Jackie haven't changed at all while Roseanne and Darlene changed far too much. I'll give it a shot

I think this "boycott" business won't amount to much.

reply

I'll give it a shot. Roseanne allowed it to keep her castmates employed.
