Michael Biehn was poor casting

His acting was sub par.

The interrogation scene was where a more seasoned actor would fit. He's friggin revealing the future and the stakes at hand and that requires some better acting chops.

Chemistry with Sarah Connor was also lacking. Charisma in general was lacking.

I thought Michael Biehn was great in Terminator. He made that role his own, which is the best any actor can do. I can't imagine anyone else, except say maybe Joe Pesci in that role. LOL

reply

Mcgeyver would even do a better job.

reply

Yeah, he could invent a sciency weapon out of and egg beater and a coconut to take out the terminator.

Ironically Arnold was the first choice for Kyle Reece. When OJ bowed out, Lance Heinreiksen was hired but Arnold campaigned for the role and got it. Lance was given the detective cameo as compensation. I always wonder if he got the full salary he was supposed to get for that small part.

reply

Lance looks like a cyborg so it might have worked.

reply

They should have cast Christopher Lambert instead.

reply

Absolutely correct. Someone like Bronson Pinchot would have been much better suited for the role.

reply

I disagree but funnily enough Arnold was originally going to be Reese. Until he read the script and decided he wanted to be the Terminator. I'm glad that didn't happen.

in arnie's book it say he and agent want arnie to play reese role.

then arnie meet with cameron at lunch and arnie tell cameron he want to play reese but on conditions that the role of terminator must be cast right and be played by actor who know what he is doing and that film does not work without terminator and he describe to cameron how important terminator role is and james cameron say to arnie "why dont you play terminator arnie since your so passion about it" and arnie agrees hahahah

Why do we have to put up with moronic troll posts like this one?
