Is there a way they could use cgi to edit out Cosby from the reruns?

Maybe just change his head with a different black actor and dub the dialogue? I’m not for censorship but I fear that networks will never let us watch this show again.

Its such a double standard. Roman Polanksi films are still around and that guy ass raped a 13 year old but a conservatist on the other hand ...

Um, no Polanski did not "ass rape" Samantha Geimer. And she'd serve you your ass if you said that to her. Evidence proved through forensics at the time of the rape kit she was clean. All slides and swabs came back as negative for fluids and her body showed no signs of trauma. Don't know about you but I've had bowel movements that caused more damage than Polanski "supposedly" caused Samantha Geimer. There is no double standard here because Geimer is a supporter of Polanski's. Even went to court earlier in the year to ask for the charges to be dropped and the case dismissed. She also wrote letters of thanks to the justices in Poland and Switzerland for denying the United States' extradition warrants. So please do your research before you speak.

I admit this polanski case is more outrages to me because a 13 year old is involved, Also while its obviously legally inpossible for a 13 year old to consent to sexual intercourse legally I find it extremely less probable that she would engage in anal intercourse of her own volition. Polanski plead guilty so I'm not sure where you swab fluid evidence came from since it woulden't have played out in trial. I don't deny that a girl could be cool with polanski now that she's an adult but that doesn't hold water with me as I've known of girls and know of one girl personally that often attempt to re bond with their biological father who are in prison after being convicting of rape against them. Its a coping mechanism that aids in their healing process but shouldn't be interpreted as some kind of acceptable "after the fact consent".

I am incredibly outraged to hear so many people defending polanski especially hard core leftists who also lament and allege that the US is full of patriarchal rape culture. Whoopi goldberg comes to mind when she insisted on the view that "it wasn't really rape rape" in air quotes. I will be first to say what bill cosby did was unethical and illegal and morally wrong(if you choose to believe in morality). Both actors and actions were wrong bu polankis's case is more outrageous as cosby's involves grown women who were wronged because they could not give consent due to their inebriation vs the defense that somehow a 13 year old supposedly engaged in anal intercourse of her own volition. Sorry but only 10% of women engage in anal intercourse on a regular basis and most women report they don't like it they do it for the benefit of their partners. I find it unlikely that a 13 year old engaging in anal sexual intercourse with an adult male didn't do so out of out right force or coercion of some form.

I've studied this case and have all the documents and forensic reports. The night of the "event" the "girl" was taking to the hospital and at approximately 11:34 pm, Dr. Larson performed a rape kit on her. He took more than ten slides and more than ten swabs as per usual course with a rape kit. He also performed a full examination of her. His report to the court went as such, she had no anal tearing. No hematomas, no brusing, nothing denoting anal rape. He also said there were no signs of the "typical" scraping usually associated with rape or even intercourse. Those slides and swabs as well as her underwear were all sent off to the lab and customary tests were performed by technician Lee Mann. Mann found no sperm, no fluids of any kind in any of the samples taken from Samantha Gailey. He did find one small quarter sized stain in the gusset of the panties conclusive with someone who was sterile. Since Polanski fathered three children: The infant who died with Sharon Tate when she was murdered and the two he fathered with third wife Emmanuelle Seigner, he couldn't have possibly have been the contributor of that stain. No other males who Polanski's attorney Roger Gunson found out also had sex with her were examined or tested. Polanski was tested and the tests proved he did not contribute the material in that stain. There were other things she "claimed" he did yet none of the evidence backs her up. Conclusion: Either sex didn't happen or it was consensual in terms of no force used....but then there wasn't even sperm found in her vaginal cavity. Douglas Dalton, Polanski's attorney found at least two other men over the age of 18 Samantha was having sex with. Yet neither one was charged. You go figure the rest.

As for what you said about "coping mechanisms" they do not apply to the Polanski case. Samantha Geimer has since 2003 been openly campaigning to clear Polanski's name and to close the case. She even wrote letters of support FOR Polanski to the Swiss court and Polish court when they were deciding on the extradition warrants from the United States. After their decisions NOT to extradite, she wrote letters thanking them for their vision and for their diligence in doing what the American courts have refused to do: Listen to her and Polanski. There is no "re-bonding" with Polanski here. In fact Geimer has been pretty clear on what she wants for this case. Samantha Geimer is pretty strong minded. Always was a willful teenager by her own admission. Here is what she had to say on the Academy's decision to revoke Polanski's membership:

The Academy’s decision highlights the need for the misconduct and corruption in this case, not only in 1977, but as it has continued to this day, be IMMEDIATELY investigated. The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office has refused to pursue justice, instead it continues to cover up the illegal and inappropriate activity in the Court, and in particular, its own office. DAs are not elected to seek the limelight celebrity cases afford them as preferable to serving the public interest. The disgusting behavior in the Los Angeles Districts Attorney’s office helped create today’s trend of accusations being the same as convictions, our Courts are diminished by their actions.
As for the Academy expelling a member who 41 years ago pleaded guilty to a single charge and served his sentence, it is an ugly and cruel action which serves only appearance. It does nothing to change the sexist culture in Hollywood today and simply proves that they will eat their own to survive. I say to Roman, good riddance to bad rubbish, the Academy has no true honor, it’s all just PR.

You can read it for yourself on her blog here: https://samanthageimer.wordpress.com/2018/05/03/so-you-want-to-know-what-i-think/

You'll see she's no wiliting lily.

As for your second paragraph, it's so non-sensical I can't even understand what you're saying. There was no coercion at all with Geimer and Polanski. As for what happened with Cosby, Andrea Constand appeared on Dateline NBC the Friday after the verdict. I can tell you the comments on Facebook were less than favourable to her. So let me understand this ..... grown women agree to go to private homes, hotel rooms, etc and expect not to engage on sexual conduct? Sorry, not believable. The majority of the comments on that Facebook page (you can find it here: https://www.facebook.com/datelinenbc/videos/bringing-down-bill-cosby:-andrea/10156286498286420/) more or less blamed Constand in the way that she went back multiple times over the course of months. This was no child, this was a grown woman. Most of the women who claimed sexual abuse at Cosby's hands went back multiple times and took pills of their own volition. That is not rape, or sexual assault. That is consensual sex.

Here is what one commenter said: Jackie Henley Morrisette Let me get this straight. She went to his house, he put his hand on her thigh. She went to his house again, he put his hand on her pants button trying to find the zipper pull. She went again to his house and he offered her 3 blue pills that she voluntarily took..... I don’t think he’s completely at fault with this one.... Speaks volumes.

I feel very bad for Cosby because apparently he was guilty by public lynch mobbing. They clearly didn't know the facts of it and still don't. These women should share some of the blame as they WENT BACK MANY TIMES. Who does that? Even after Constand got money, she still went back.

In this culture of not rape, but affection for Christian Grey and the "50 Shades" books and films and women wetting themselves over him, I dare say women can't claim abuse or harm when they are openly dreaming of being tied down, screwed, and whipped by a fictional character...if not in reality.

He should be replace with Jimmie Walker by CGI

You understand me clearly. I'm not really reading your responses after these statements. You can pretend that you won the debate if you want.

reply

And you can keep burying your head if you want. Still won't change the truth. Yep, clearly an ostrich. You understand me clearly! And I did win not only the debate, but the game, set and match. You think as a man you might have the corner on truth? Nope. Women are more than the sum of their perceived victimhood. And what I said about Christian Grey is the truth. They want a fictional character to tie them down and do what people like Cosby and Polanski have been pilloried for by people like you who think you hold the high ground.

reply

Doubt it. Doesn't he own them?

Barry Obama's acting debut!

lololol

Does it matter? Most celebrities have done something bad (to varying degrees) if you started to cancel out things just because they aren't nice people you may as well throw your TV out.

reply

You could make millions of dollars and pay a company to do it that does that kind of thing.

Probably the easiest way if you're not tech savvy.

reply

I wouldn't want them to superimpose somebody over Dr. Cliff Huxtable. We'll always remember it was Bill Cosby that played the character.

Don't let one man's actions keep me you enjoying a family show. It was Cosby that did what he did, not Cliff. I see no reason for the networks to pull reruns or alter them in any fashion.

reply

Frankly I don't condone what Cosby did but I can still enjoy watching his shows and movies. Also if you edit out Cosby, there isn't much of a show.
