Why isn’t this on Netflix or Hulu or something?

It was a BIG deal when it came out.

Prime just put up Threads recently so it's not inconceivable Day After might make its way up there, though I can't recall it ever appearing on any streaming channel. As TV movies go, it's well made and still has the power to disturb.

reply

Just reading the word Threads gives me night terrors.

reply

Yeah just watched it again for the first time in over 20 years and it remains shocking and disturbing. Carl Sagan was one of the scientists who offered technical knowledge on that one.

reply

I was 16 when it came out and it was right at the height of the Cold War. At the time, nuclear conflict was a real possibility; watching this scared the crap out of me.

reply

I can understand why

reply

I want to see this.

reply

Because it today's climate, it would be offensive because it showed us nuking communist Russia.

reply

It would greatly offend the pro-Russian Americans today. The people who want to see Russia eliminate Ukraine and then come to our shores to fight.
