Hey everyone. The Four of us are dying(S1- Ep.13) is just finishing up right now at 10:52am NY Time.

reply

Not only is beauty in the eye of the beholder, people on this planet smoke at the nurses' station, just like humans did in 1960! What a coincidence!

reply

i know right lol

reply

I'm old enough to remember people smoking everywhere, including in hospitals, and it still grosses me out.

reply

i'm 35 and remember the smoking and non smoking sections of just about every place. It always has grossed me out and I never smoked a day in my life.

reply

Yes-- I'm (cough cough) somewhat older. And I remember going on long overnight flights with smoking and non-smoking sections. I recall that on nighttime trips- the folks in the smoking section were wide awake and chatting and the rest of us were fast asleep.

reply

Could you still smell the smoke? Sounds like hell. I remember when I was about 7 or 8 and my mom would work my Catholic schools bingo nights to get a reduction in my tuition and the entire gymnasium being filled with one giant huge smoke cloud from the smokers...as I walked around trying to sell instant game tickets to people.

reply

actually-- you could still smell the smoke- but it wasn't as bad as if you were in the smoking section itself.

reply

Bleh still gross 😛

reply

I also remember when people were allowed to smoke in the office. Now that was a horror. At least a flight ends.

reply

We've come along way...of course now all I smell whenever I'm out now is weed. Which is another thing I've never smoked. Everywhere I go it smells like skunks. So nasty

reply

I'm old enough to remember no options at all - places where smoking was permitted everywhere. I was so glad when that changed.

reply

Happy New Year everyone! I wish everyone a great new year!

On the West Coast feed, we are on Five Characters in Search of an Exit.

"Who are we? Where are we?!"

"We're here, because we're here, because we're here.. because..we're..here..."

Susan Harrison is such a stunning lady. We lost her early 2019. May she rest in peace.

reply

Good for you. I never smoked a day in my life either. Gross! Who wants to do that to their body? It is so disgusting!!!!

reply

Well I made it to about 10:30pm Eastern Time. Happy New Year everyone.

reply

A Hundred Yards Over The Rim.
Chris wears a killer hat!

reply

Happy New Year! Sorry I wasn't on as much yesterday.

reply

Rip Van Winkle Caper. An episode I appreciate much more now that I've read Serling's story of it.

reply

Man that truck started right up after 100 years. They don’t make em like they used to.

reply

Lol, I thought that too. wouldn't the gas also evaporate?

reply

getting rid of the truck wasn't the brightest move.

reply

The Obsolete Man - great episode with a timeless relevance. " ...you and me and the great equalizer..."

reply

Once Upon a Time - starring Buster Keaton

A fun, lighthearted episode!

"And your trousers?"
" I hung them up to dry in 1890."

reply

One of the few that breaks the 4th wall too!

reply

It is hard to pick which one is my favorite. My Top 10:

The Lonely
Eye of the Beholder
Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up?
A Stop at Willoughby
The Obsolete Man
Time Enough at Last
What You Need or People are Alike All Over (tie between these two)
Mirror Image
Five Characters in Search of an Exit
The Obsolete Man

reply

"Will the Real Martian... " is probably a top three for me. The After Hours, A Piano in the Place, Passage on the Lady Anne, Jess -Belle. Oh, too many to list!

reply

Right?! That one I really enjoy and screen it for the Film Class that I T.A. for when we cover Science Fiction. That is a great list you have there, shannon! The After Hours, how did I skip that one?! Jess-Belle! A fantastic one! See it's so hard to put a list together!

reply

To me it's like an excellent one act play.

reply

That was the very first episode I ever watched and it was last night, LOVED IT. I had never seen a Twilight Zone episode EVER, I saw the movie way back when as a young kid on VHS, Dan Akroyd "You wanna see something really scary?"

So I decided I'd DVR at random about 30 of them, couldn't do them all or I'd delete things I want to keep.

I see in the descriptions that a few episodes actually are the movie basically. The kid that can do whatever, the kick the can, terror at 20,000... Will be interesting to view those.

The other one I watched was The Hitchhiker, solid. Inger Stevens I recognized right away, such a beauty.

These had to be way ahead of the times for a tv show.

reply

That's the signpost up ahead - your next stop, ...

reply

Well everyone, I might have to wrap it up with this episode. Time to get back into the regular grind.

It's been fun seening what everybody posted. Hope to see you next time!

reply

Good times. Take care.

reply

reply

I'll close up at the end.

reply

reply
