The only person in Trump's Administration I really liked

She was fearless! You'd think she'd be a feminist's dream. But obviously not.

Certainly among the most effective - and attractive - members in the Trump administration. But those are low bars. It will be interesting to see if she runs for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024. That could pit her against her old boss, one of his children and/or Mike Pence.

reply

one of his children?

Really? I haven't heard this, do you think so? I hate to see the media victorious in running a candidate out of town, but I think they were successful with Don Jr. and Eric. They certainly succeeded with Sarah Palin. She was 10x more experienced than Obama, but they let him slide because of one reason, and one reason only.

There are hints here of senate or presidential runs here, but I don't think any TRUMP stands a chance ever again at the Oval Office. Fool me once...

Two years in from my comment, it’s clear that Don is running himself. If he had taken a pass, it’s possible one of his sons or even Ivanka would have run in his place — and still might in a future election cycle. They cold leverage the Trump brand and donor base. I don’t t think they’d win the presidency but could possibly win the Republican nomination and raise tens of millions of dollars.

reply

Ivanka would be the only one with a real chance, and probably not for another decade. I sort of wish Don wasn't running, because he comes with too much baggage. Desantis would win easily, but I think Trump will split the votes.

reply

Yes, I agree.

reply

No, of course not.

Michelle Bachman was a star at one point.
Sarah Palin was a star at one point.

Trump has/had 4 years in the Oval office. She never stepped foot in there other than for a PHOTO OP.

I think they regret the idea now. To dump Pence in exchange for Haley.

The last I looked. And it was a month ago. But it was about 300,000 votes in the swing states that #teamtrump lost in 2020.

She's since shown that she's good if you watch her. She supports aiding Ukraine but not "writing blank checks." How's that for fence-straddling? Deliver me all such wishy-washy politicians. 🤦🏼‍♀️

reply

Is it fence sitting or just moderation? I don't know much about her.

reply

Interestingly, she didn't actually resign from her job. That's the official story, but her staffers say they all arrived at the office one day and found the locks changed. tRump fired her.

reply

Trump then sat down with her and got her to promise not to run against him in the next election. Not this one, but the last Presidential election.

I can totally see an outraged woman agreeing to play nice with the man who changed the locks on her.

I can tell you're a guy because they're the only ones -- and Antifa women -- who are still charmed with the "tRump" spelling: "Get it? Get it? 'Rump'! Get it? That's so funny because it's so TRUUUE!!!1!!" 🙄 But even someone who still spells Trump "tRump" must understand that no woman is going to make that agreement with someone who locked her out of her own office. Heck, no man would do it either.
