It's okay for DJT to call DeSantis anything he can think of, even implying he's a pedophile, but if DeSantis responds with something as mild as, "I'm not interested in drama on social media," this punk, Junior, has to come out and start slinging mud.
This sort of idiotic behavior just makes people leaning toward DeSantis go hardline. It's the best way I know of losing an election. If they were working for Biden, they couldn't do a better job.

shareI wouldn't bet on it. Trump loves to come from behind. I counted him out the first time and was wrong to do so. Don't EVER count him out.
But there's something different this time. Maybe he doesn't quite have the fire in his belly. Maybe others know the Trump "formula" so he's lost some of the shine. I'm for DeSantis, and I know the people rabidly against Trump will just tell lies about him, too. Like "Don't say gay," which had nothing to do with the truth. Whether DeSantis can win is whether he can get the truth out about how he tackled problems in Florida and fixed them.
The one saving grace of the Trump family, other than their incompetance, is that ultimately they're more motivated by ego and narcissism than they are by any sort of ideology (Trump was a registered Democrat and a Hillary supporter for much of the 00s FFS). I'm not denying that they're racists, bigots and plutocrats, and have always been thus, but ultimately, they'll jump on whatever bandwagon they think will keep them relevant/butter-up their egos/keep the money pouring in, irrespective of political alignment (although they'd NEVER go far-left, because as over-privileged white plutocrats, that would be bad for business). And so, that being the case, they'd quite happily torpedo the GOP, if the GOP wasn't willing to stroke their egos. They're basically everything everyone said about Bernie Sanders and his supporters, and worse, with respect to the DNC (i.e. that they'd have a pissy fit and destroy the party if they weren't nominated/supported). That of course was BS when it came to Bernie and his so-called 'bros', but you can bet that the MAGA-hats are going to go ballistic on the GOP, if they don't get their own way. And when it happens, it will be a delight to watch (like watching the Alien v Predator tear themselves to shreds).
So, to go back to your point, they may not be officially working for Biden, but they might as well be. 😁
