It is too bad things went sour with the royals and the Firm a few years ago, it would have been interesting to see what the Sussuxes would have done as temps since Harry was next in line. However now, I am curious to see what Anne or Edward will do.
shareI think Charles is hanging on very loosely at the moment and is reported as having cancer. He is the last of the old school type Royals - that people are widely aware of anyway, I know there are some others too.
If Charles were to go I do wonder if Britain would decide to drop the Monarchy altogether. I am not sure if William would be enough to keep interest and Harry and Megs have bored everyone with their world privacy tour.
I hope Charles survives at least 5 years. In the event he passes, I think Will might be a decent king, but like you have stated, interest in maintaing a monarchy is on the wane. I hope Harry and Meg are old news now. The media has pestered them enough. Plus most of the stuff you hear is " wash and repeat junk.

I'm glad he's not available to take over. In fact, several people have been put ahead of him as Counselors of State, enough to be called upon that his "services" aren't needed...ever.
