People Only Hate Her Because She's Pro-Trans

I see SO much hate directed at Watson from both the misogynist right *and* the santimonious hyper-feminist left, for her every action, whether it be her decision to align with Brad Pitt and promote his new liquor, or to demean her acting and her intelligence (she got a SCHOLARSHIP to study at Brown University, and Oxford, you damn fools!)

I'm NO simp for Watson. I don't even find her *that* attractive (and I ALWAYS found it creepy when my fellow college students told me they thought Watson was going to grow up to be a hottie, circa the early Harry Potter films. Eww...Pedo much?) But having been quite apathetic towards her and her acting for most of the 00s/10s, I now have immense respect for her, not only as a spokesperson for feminists, and a defender of trans rights (which other feminists seem to take offence at... 🙄🤦‍♂️), but also as an actor (she was great in the recent, BRILLIANT, Little Women adaptation), and someone who doesn't feel compelled to simp for JK Rowling. Reminder to anyone who thinks Watson is somehow obliged to JRK, because the latter basically 'gave her, her career,' that may be so, but Rowling is NOT Watson's keeper, and Watson is no more obliged to share the same views as Rowling, than she one is obliged to share the same politics as one's mother and father. Just because the latter created one, it doesn't mean one is compelled to believe every shitty reactionary nonsense their generation may believe.

Twitter is a cesspool, so good for you, if you've avoided it, but if you spend any time there, you'll see a constant barrage of hate directed against her, a lot of it from anti-trans feminists, who regard her as 'ungrateful' to JK Rowling, and will attack her acting, and accuse her of being a hypocrite when it comes to feminism. I've also seen some militant Zionists attack her for supporting Palestinian rights (fwiw, I am a Zionist, to the extrent that I staunchly support the existence of Israel, but I am not an anti-Palestinian militant).

On Twitter yo see a constant barrage of hate directed against everyone, and yes, it's a cesspool.
People taking little bit seriously what is written on Twitter should have their brains checked.
Also, Zionist means not only you support the existence of Israel, but you also desire the occupation of the West Bank. You are not a zionist, you are just a normal person. Israel has every right to exist and so does Palestine.

People have called out her fake activism even those on the side of "feminism". I think that is one of the key issues many don't like about her.

Personally I think her support of transgenderism is an unfortunate misstep for her. People supporting that will find themselves to have been on the wrong side of history.

I think most are just indifferent. She hasn't done anything since Harry Potter, and that was decades ago. Today, she could probably ride The Tube, and no one would recognize her.

I don't hear much about her at all since she has mostly stepped away from major films. See her up on here rarely, but that's about it. However, I don't have twitter or tik tok so maybe that's why.

I didn't like her for three reasons: (1) she's a bad actress; (2) the way she and other cast members behaved toward Rowling; (3) in "Beauty and the Beast", it feels like she didn't want to be there, and she acted like an arrogant person. If you don't like the story, let another actress play Bella. Don't spit where you work.
