Wow...the words "Trump will resign" sure are popping up a lot lately online

For the first time in two years, I'm seeing more people than ever before saying: "Trump will resign". It started shortly after the midterms and I'm hearing it more and more today in new article comments, radio, tv.

Could it be?

I must confess that I never thought Trump would resign. Not because of anything positive--but because Trump is an egomaniac with sky-high narcissism. However, as it stands, more and more people seem to think he WILL resign.

Is it possible? Could this all be stressful enough to override his ego and cause him to drop out? It does seem like quite a sh!tshow awaits him in January and he's already losing his mind just over what's happening now. The show hasn't even started yet and he's already flying off the handle and having meltdown after meltdown.

I always thought he'd have to be kicked out of that White House, kicking and screaming, but now I'm wondering if I could be wrong--if even an ego of his magnitude has its limits.

What do you think? Do you think the orange hog will resign?

reply

The ONLY way I see him resigning is if he starts to lose the base. Either via Mueller revealing actual proof of a real crime that impacts them (the base) more than Russian Collusion would or (IMO more likely) the House being such a thorn in his ample side that his tweets become so unhinged and insane (more so than now) that even his supporters wake up and realize what he's all about.

If he doesn't have a large group of lemmings telling him constantly how wonderful he is, his ego (his driving force in everything) will make him just walk away from an "ungrateful nation".

"so unhinged and insane (more so than now) that even his supporters wake up and realize what he's all about."

Really? So I hope to solicit from you what the craziest thing you could possibly imagine him saying that would provoke his disciples to turn on him?

Outside of "I support open borders" I can't really think of anything provocative enough.

Something so racially charged it can NOT be explained away (using THAT word)?

Saying on Twitter what he really thinks of his beloved base (Come on, he has used “retard” and “redneck” before. And you’ve seen his supporters on here. ONE of those slurs would not be inaccurate to use describing them)?

Admitting he’s using the working class to push through benefits for he and his rich friends?

reply

Good points. The n-word won't drive away his white supremacist base, but it *should* drive away everyone else. Unless I've vastly underestimated their numbers and that diehard 30% IS his white supremacist base that are just emboldened enough now to come out of the closet.

Yeah he was broadly reported to have lobbied Senators to let him fire Sessions because he couldn't stand his southern accent. That's probably not direct enough for his southern base to think that implicates them in his contempt.

Funny how all those things are so obvious yet it would require him spelling it out before his base would reconsider their opinion of him.

OP, I don't know if he will resign or be ousted. Either way I bet he'll be gone soon. The sooner the better.

The left with its "Trump Derangement Syndrome" provides an endless source of amusement to me (and probably to a LOT of Trump voters). I knew y'all were upset that your hag was not given the coronation that you and she thought she richly deserved. But you folks have gone totally off the rails!!! LOL

I've never seen a Commander-in-Chief subject to such vitriol, abuse and just plain juvenile insults. But feel free to talk amongst yourselves and make yourselves feel better by tearing down the man who beat your candidate like a gong.

reply

Have you read about all the lies he has told, the promises he hasn't kept, the way he insults people? He is a racist, misogynistic, egotistical, bombastic imbecile. I doubt he has ever read the Constitution.

reply

Bush killed a million Iraqi Children.
Obama printed trillions of dollars for the banks.
Trump... called Rosie O'Donnel fat.

I doubt you've ever worked a day in your life.

reply

You are in denial big time.

reply

Literally how dumb do you magatards have to be to think a president has the power to print money?

That power is exclusively the decision of the chairman of the Federal Reserve; in Obama's case that was Ben Bernanke, a Bush pick.

reply

They really live by alternate facts.

reply

Two years ago isn't lately.
