An iconic actress (The Avengers, A Night to Remember, Jason and the Argonauts, as well as Goldfinger) and she always seemed like a lovely lady, too - R.I.P.

Very sad, but she lived to a ripe old age and leaves behind a legacy, and relatively few people do both. She left The Avengers to appear in Goldfinger. Dame Diana Rigg took her place on The Avengers as the legendary Mrs. Emma Peele. Rigg subsequently left The Avengers to be The Bond Girl in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.

BBC today noted her passing but never mentioned her character name Pussy Galore in the Bond film.
