How Will He Be Remembered?

When he dies?

As one of the most important post-war filmmakers and writers, with a vast filmography of classic movies to his name?

Or will we all be obliged to piss on his grave, and will more people be coming out of the woodwork to denounce his name, despite the fact that this small, physically unassuming, utterly *unthreatening* and slight man, has no real systemic and financial power *other than* the immense cultural affection he, at least once, accrued on account of his *work* as a *self-made* artist (rather than a spoiled and thoroughly *ungrateful* whiny journo kid given the best education money could buy, and who, in return, has given the world NOTHING, but grievance, self-promotion and the self-serving spite of TEARING *far more* accomplished and *self-made* individuals' names down?) 😠

Us older fans will remember Woody as a hilarious comedian that made many movies that made us laugh over and over again.

As far as everybody else, especially the younger generation? The people nowadays are dumber, literally lower I.Q. due to junk food and devices. Let's face it, they've been given a sh!t sandwich, raised not by loving/caring parents..but raised by derelict parents who literally left their kids to their own devices. Today's kids cannot even talk, they're obese by the time they're 16. To say this is a disaster is a vast understatement. I call it an apocalypse. I simply solved the problem by moving out of the U.S and now here in Thailand. Problem solved.

As for Woody, he's been famous and relatively wealthy his whole life, good for him. His only huge mistake was..wait for it..hooking up with a nutcase like Mia Farrow. I don't blame him for dumping that crazy lady for the step daughter. I don't think he ever did anything illegal/immoral.

Well, Harv, I believe history, in the long run, will be quite judgmental of those who were judgmental in this era. History will look at the cancel crowd the way we now look at Salem witch hunters. There is ZERO evidence Woody did anything wrong. The romance with the young Korean woman may not be the best example of decorum, but the young woman was NOT his daughter, his stepdaughter, or even a foster daughter. The kid who claims he molested her failed a lie detector test. As I said, he did NOTHING wrong. History will look back and wonder why so many people in this society listened to tabloids and not the truth.

Condisering Gesualdo murdered his wife and lover yet is still be remembered as a composer 400 years later, I'd say there's little chance that ANY cancelled celebrity of the 20 years will fare any worse, so long as the work itself endures.

is he a pedo?

He won't be. When all the boomers die off, there'll just be a little footnote: indie filmmaker who loved NYC.
