I seen a near altercation. A man was talking on the phone in a store. Another man came to his side to get an item. The man on the phone took an offense and stuck his elbow out to deter the other guy but he just ignored him and walked on.
Now if someone made intentional physical contact like that with me, I'm not sure how I'd handle it. What do you think is the correct way to handle a situation like that?
I'm usually for de-escalation. I'd either ignore it, or just say sorry and go ahead with what I was doing.

First, I hate idiots who carry on phone conversations in a store.
I would be intent on getting the item I wanted. I would not give up and leave. I can't imagine him not backing down. But if he didn't, sorry, there would be a fight.
