Is a 45 year old guy too old for a 34 year old woman?
the answer is no. but is you switch the genders.

shareNo on both counts - it's not that big a gap.
In Indonesia they have a term for Cougars, which is 'Tante Giring' - it means 'happpy auntie', lol.
With the classic (age/2)+7 rule it's fine: a 45year old can date as young as a 29 year old without it being weird. Genders don't matter for this rule.
shareEven if you switch the Genders, it's not that old.. I have a very good friend of 15 years and she's 7 years older than me at 64..
shareNo either way. I do think it is odd for people in their 20s to date much older, but itโs none of my business. Most people 30 or older know their limits. I used to follow the 10 older or 5 younger rule then. Outside those limits, there were less things in common, different cultural references, tastes in music, entertainment, etc.
shareGiven the current life expectancy (mortality table) young women should choose their future husbands and fathers of their children in the kindergarten. ๐ถโ๐ถโ๐ถโ
shareAs long as they both love each other and have enough in common, age shouldn't matter. Frankly I am 37 and wouldn't mind dating a woman in her 20s. Plus most women my age are single mothers and I am a bit turned off at that. I'd like to have my own kids with my own future wife.
shareTo switch the age of the genders no. Im 42 single and never married with no kids. I want to be with a woman in her early 30s preferably as she'll likely also be never married and no kids.
