Wearing Pajama Pants in Public...

... or are they pants with pajama designs?

Anyone know? I repeatedly see teens and young adults walking around in public with "pajama bottoms". New trend?

reply

IT STARTED WHEN I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL IN THE LATE 90S...AT THIS POINT IT IS JUST ACCEPTED FASHION...IT'S GROSS.

reply

That long ago? I'm seeing it daily now in business and shopping districts. One guy had his pajamas pants partially down and his briefs showing. WTF!

reply

IT WAS A CUTE THING FOR THE GIRLS TO WEAR WHEN I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL...SOMETIME IN THE 2000S IS BECAME A MALE THING AS WELL...NOW IT IS JUST EVERYWHERE...IT'S GROSS...I ALSO FIND MEN IN FLIP FLOPS TO BE GROSS.

reply

I've seen someone in bedroom slippers last week. That makes no sense since they're more difficult to walk on the sidewalk.

Flip flops on the street were a thing in the 60s or 70s. I haven't seen them again, but I bet I will.

Pajamas look better than everyone dressing like a hospital orderly. Good fashion appears to have died.

I wear sliders most of the year in ‘Sunny’ Bournemouth 🏖️

reply

I must agree with you that "flip-flops" are gross... regardless of who wears them. They were designed for wear at a beach or swimming pool only.
And they are not appropriate attire for the Christmas season.

reply

I'm laughing at this because my best friend and I wore pyjama pants to the pub on her 18th birthday for her first legal drink. We had just finished a diploma exam (12th grade final exams), and since my birthday is 3 days before I wanted to take her out. We were in pj pants and t shirts. That was 1995.

reply

OOOH...MID 90S IN PJS...DID YOU ALSO HAVE PACIFIERS?...OR A DARK OUTLINE AROUND YOUR LIPS?

reply

Lol. I was gifted a hard plastic pacifier as a joke one Christmas from my brother. I think I wore it Christmas day that year, and then in went in my dresser. I never really wore makeup even as a teenager, but I had friends who did the dark lip liner.

Another sign of a society that has given up hope.

reply

THAT’s funny! Thank you.

reply

I've seen them wear what looks like pajamas and slippers to the Dispensary I go to.. I mean, it's bad enough people who partake in herb get a bad stigma over it, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't put on some fucking clothes and look fairly presentable, but that's me..

reply

Please give me an example of a GOOD stigma.

reply

Herb has medical qualities to it that help people, but unfortunately, Yes, it does receive a bad stigma just because it's Pot

reply

ABSOLUTELY...MY MIX OF AUTISM.OCD AND ADHD HAS BEEN GREATLY IMPROVED SINCE MY DOCTOR PRESCRIBED IT SOMETHING LIKE 15 YEARS AGO...I LOVE THE LEGALIZATION...WHICH HAS REMOVED A LOT OF THE STIGMA...BUT YEAH...UNSHAVED PALE ASS WEINER BOYS IN THEIR JAMMIES ARE BRINGING THE SHAME.

reply

YEAH...UNSHAVED PALE ASS WEINER BOYS IN THEIR JAMMIES ARE BRINGING THE SHAME.

Haha! Never, ever change. God bless.

reply

I asked for a good stigma.

There isn’t one.

Only part 3?

reply

At least.

People like that should be killed.

My daughter wears them to school almost daily, and I hate it. I believe you should look presentable when you leave the house. Not that you need to dress up or anything, just make an effort to look nice.

reply

I'm surprised they allow it in schools. Usually there's a dress code.

A couple weeks ago I was flying from Salt Lake City to Los Angeles. There was a man wearing pajama pants and cheap flipflops at the airport. Have some pride, man. At least wear jeans and anything but flipflops!

reply

i have a neighbor who spends a lot of time in his robe.

reply

DOES HE OFTN LET IT CASUALLY COME OPEN?🙂

reply

Ha ha, that is very funny! I wonder if it was a velvet robe?
