Suggest me a mediocre movie

Not very good, not very bad, something mediocre suggest me,

edit: after 1990

reply

Anything with Terry-Thomas
https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0856103/

reply

......except for "It's A Mad, Mad .....World" (1963) 😎

reply

You would think with that cast, yes...but the last time I saw it I thought it was mediocre. I do have a soft spot for the man, though.

reply

One Crazy Summer (86) is on TUBI.
It's not a hilarious comedy but it has a good cast and is breezy and fun at about an hour and a half.

reply

DISAGREE...ONE CRAZY SUMMER IS A MINI CLASSIC.

The Pink Jungle (1968) "I made this thing for the money and I'm lucky it didn't wreck my career," James Garner wrote in his memoir. I saw it when I was a kid and remember liking it.

reply

You guys watch very old movies, I'm looking for mediocre movies after 1990

reply

ok

There's Something About Mary (1998) - popular but I thought mediocre
A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001) - Crappy Pinocchio story, but it is Spielberg
The Great Gatsby (2013)
Bridge of Spies (2015) - Many positive reviews but should have been much better that it was IMO

reply

Thanks! They look very mediocre

There's Something About Mary (1998) was a mediocre funny movie indeed

reply

LMAO...NO...THERES SOMETHING ABOUT MARY IS A MODERN CLASSIC.🙂

A few I've watched recently:

Intolerable Cruelty (2003)
Babylon (2022)
The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023)

Out of curiosity, why are you looking for mediocre movies?

reply

I bought for Babylon and Super Mario for 20$ each. I hope i won’t find them mediocre.

reply

Babylon was a mixed bag for me. Some great set-pieces and interesting camera work but ultimately uneven and overlong. The whole thing felt bloated and excessive, though I suppose it could be argued that was the point.

Mario Bros, while not bad, just felt rather uninspired to me. I grew up playing the games and was looking forward to the movie. It’s very colorful and mildly amusing, but I was hoping for something with a bit more soul.

Both movies have pretty solid ratings on IMDb, though, so hopefully you’ll have better luck with them.

reply

THE MARIO MOVIE...AGREE...I WAS EXPECTING TO BE BLOWN AWAY...I WAS UNDERWHELMED...RENFIELD...THE SECOND MOVIE OF THAT NIGHT WAS WAY MORE ENTERTAINING.

reply

I haven’t seen Renfield; the trailers honestly didn’t pique my interest. I guess it may be worth a watch, though?

reply

the trailers honestly didn’t pique my interest.

I AGREE...THAT IS HOW I FELT...THE NIGHT IN QUESTION I RENTED MARIO AND ALI RENTED RENFIELD...END OF THE NGHT WE AGREED...MARIO WAS ALRIGHT...BUT RENFIELD WAS PRETTY DAMN AWESOME.

reply

Cool, in that case I will add it to the watch-list.👍

reply

Because if I ask you to post your favorite movies, I'm not gonna like them, I have tried it

reply

Hmm… Interesting strategy. Okay then.
