Your "couldn't even finish it mate" movies.

I've suffered through many movies though I'm pretty good at watching things to the end, I can only think of four instances where I had enough and bailed before the end.

Mother! (2017)
Nosferatu (1922)
Clerks (1994)
Killer Klowns from Outer Space (1988)

Tenet (2020)

YES!...I FINISHED IT...BUT I HATED WHAT IT MADE ME WATCH.

reply

i didn't like the premise. the movie disappeared rather quickly.

reply

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998) -- I tried several attempts, but I still have at least thirty more years of life expectancy left so who knows I'll try again someday.

reply

SOLID MOVIE...HARD TO WATCH THOUGH.

reply

Cool, I'll keep it on my watchlist. And welcome back!

reply

Asian Babes Vol. VIII - I only manage to get through about 5 minutes.

reply

You should wait ten minutes and start where you left off.

reply

I like the mystery of not knowing how it finishes.

reply

It has a happy ending...

reply

Everybody loves a happy ending….

reply

I FINISHED THE DAMN MOVIE...AS SOON AS I GROW SOME OF MY SKIN BACK I WILL WATCH IT AGAIN...MAYBE THIS TIME WITH THE SOUND ON.🤔

reply

The only one of those I lost patience with was Mother! I liked the others. I got bored and started hitting on my wife, we were alone down in the den, the kids were asleep. I figured she and I could have a good time…she wasn’t having it that night, she was enjoying the movie.

So I went upstairs and out to the garage. Just then my neighbor lit off a random firework, some kind of rocket. Well it scared the hell out of me, I thought a poacher was in my yard and I don’t like poachers and won’t abide them near my home.

I grabbed a weapon and barreled into the yard shouting curses and threats..to be fair I may have been a tad drunk…You’d have to be half in the bag to take a guy on when he has a shotgun and you have a plank of wood lol!

Apologies were exchanged the next day, I’m cool with the neighbor now👍

reply

I got bored and started hitting my wife

THIS IS HOW I MISTAKENLY READ IT THE FIRST TIME...IT WAS A VERY DISTURBING POST UNDER THAT CONTEXT.

MOTHER! SUCKED BY THE WAY...I WATCHED THE WHOLE THING...BLEH!

reply

Oh NO, NEVER hitting my Lady, I’m not awful like that. I’m kind of a jerk, everyone knows it, but I’m not an animal that hits his woman. That’s creepy dirtbag behavior, a boy like that deserves a plank to the head.

I was just bored by the movie and my wife is quite pretty and I figured ‘let’s do some sexy time.’

She just wasn’t having it that night, she liked that boring movie😫

reply

Lawrence of Arabia.

I've watched other long historical epics, like Barry Lyndon, but that one always bored me.

reply

It bored me too and I love the historical stuff😄

ETA: I like the soundtrack though, I found a used old copy on vinyl and it’s really good.

reply

It is beautifully shot, with great sound and acting. I can see why people admire it, but just can't get into it myself.

reply

Same, and I tried a couple times.

reply

reply

reply
