Ravenous.

reply

Nice. Isn’t even listed as a comedy on IMDb, but it sports a wicked pitch black sense of humor, not to mention an awesome score.

reply

Exactly. I've always considered it a black comedy.

reply

FOR YEARS I POINTED TO THIS MOVIE AS THE ONE THING I LIKED DAVID ARQUETTE IN.

reply

Allow me to plug one of my favorite sleeper comedies: Hamlet 2 (2008). He has a supporting roll as a dumb but well meaning guy. Laugh out loud funny, very referencable movie. Can’t recommend it enough.

reply

YOU AND I SEEM TO HAVE SIMILAR TASTES....ROCK ME SEXY JESUS!

reply

Holy balls it gets funnier each time I watch it. Steve Coogan is a freaking legend.

reply

I NEED TO SHOW HAMLET 2 TO MY DAUGHTER...SHE WOULD CRACK UP.

reply

GREAT MOVIE!

reply

Vicious Fun 2020
Glorious 2022

reply

I WATCHED GLORIOUS A FEW DAYS AGO...PRETTY COOL FLICK...I WILL ADD VICIOUS FUN TO MY WATCHLIST.

reply

You'd probably like spoonful of sugar It's horror, not horror comedy though.

reply

I WATCHED THE TRAILER...LOOKS PRETTY COOL...THE FACT THAT IT IS A SHUDDER RELEASE IMMEDIATELY EARNED THE MOVIE'S INCLUSION ON MY WATCHLIST.

reply

my least favorite genre.

reply

YOU KNOW HOW US KIDS ARE...TERRIBLE TASTE IN MUSIC AND MOVIES.🙂

reply

horror shouldn't be funny unless it's a parody like young frankenstein.

reply

YOU EVER SEE HOUSE STARRING WILLIAM KATT?...HE WAS THE GREATEST AMERICAN HERO...I LOVE THAT GUY...SO WHEN I DISCOVERED HOUSE AS A SMALL BOY I LOVED IT TOO...I BELIEVE HOUSE AND WILLIAM KATT ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR A LOT OF MY TASTES IN ENTERTAINMENT AND STYLE.

reply

I SEE QUITE A FEW I DO NOT RECOGNIZE...I'M GOING TO HAVE TO GO THROUGH YOUR LIST.

reply

The Revenant, Dead Heat and Crimewave are fun, but Excision rocked my world. Still consider it the best thing Bates has done. Actually forgot it had some great surprising moments of comedy in it.

reply

I'M GONNA SLIDE EXCISION UP HIGHER ON MY WATCHLIST...YOUR ENTHUSIASM HAS ME INTRIGUED.

reply

Excellent... And I’d never thought I’d say this, but Traci Lords was incredible in it

reply

I RECENTLY READ HER AUTO BIOGRAPHY.

reply

OK...I HAVE GONE THROUGH THE LIST...EXCELLENT LIST BY THE WAY...I HAVE ADDED THE FOLLOWING TO MY WATCHLIST.

UNMASKED PART 25.
SKINNER.
WEREWOLVES WITHIN.
EXCISION.
SUMMONING SYLVIA.

THANKS.

reply

I hope you enjoy them all!

Like Excision, Skinner also features a great performance from Traci Lords, though she as well as Ricki Lake and Richard Schiff are eclipsed by Ted Raimi's magnetic lead that's both tongue in cheek and fully committed.

I think if Sam Raimi had made a Spider-Man movie ten years earlier than what he ended up making, Peter Parker would have been played by Ted. You can see it in the way he puts on the "mask", so to speak.

reply

EXCISION WAS AWESOME...SKINNER WAS ALSO QUITE GOOD...WEREWOLVES WITHIN LOST MY ATTENTION A BIT BUT HEY...2 OUT 3 IS DAMN GOOD.

reply

I am absolutely STOKED that you enjoyed Excision and Skinner! I've started another watch on the latter just now, and it's amazing to watch Richard Schiff as the seedy motel clerk playing nudie card solitaire.

reply

THAT WAS INTERESTING...I SENT IT TO MY DAUGHTER.

reply

Very dependent on your brand of humor and you've likely seen these, but I quite like the Addams Family & Addams Family Values duo, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992) and Once Bitten (1985), Warm Bodies (2013) was not bad and I found Twilight quite funny, although not a great film overall. I remember laughing a lot at Vampire's Kiss (1988), but I cannot for the life of me recall anything about the movie.

reply

THOSE ARE ALL EXCELLENT FILMS...WELL MAYBE NOT TWILIGHT AND VAMPIRES KISS...BUT THE TWILIGHT SERIES HAS A CHARM TO IT THAT I DO NOT DISLIKE...AND VAMPIRE'S KISS IS 1000% HANGING ON THE PERFORMANCE OF NIC CAGE...A PERFORMANCE FOR THE AGES...MUGGING...LEAPING...SCREAMING...DUDE IS GREAT.

reply

John Dies at the End (2012)
Odd Thomas (2013)

reply

THOSE ARE BOTH GOOD FLICKS...SHAME ANTON YELCHIN PASSED AWAY...ODD THOMAS COULD HAVE BEEN A SOLID SERIES.

reply

💯
