β˜€οΈ Today 🌬️🎐

Today is open window day! 65℉ and sunny, headed for 70℉!! A bit breezy, but I'll take it. Good way to air out the house.

A week ago we had about a foot and a half of snow on the ground. Now, all that's left are mostly piles of dirty snow in the more shaded areas around the yard.

Welcome to spring! That old snow will be gone in no time. 🌞

Funny. Today is the first day I had to turn my AC back on. 98F here today. Very nice day, though, if one is in the shade. And there are many tourists in that shade. It stayed cool for longer than usual so I'm happy.

Unseasonably warm here lately, in the 80s once again for about the next 4 days. Been sleeping with my bedroom window open during those days. The head of my bed is at that open window and I catch refreshing, cool breezes at night as I'm drifting off to sleep.

The planet Venus has been bright, prominent and beautiful in my wide open western sky for many nights now. Just came in from gazing at it once again from my porch while savoring a chilled beer. Butterflies were flitting through my yard today. The neighborhood is so tranquil. Color me relaxed, peaceful, contented.😊

Nice to hear you in a good mood db.

Contrary to what you've been led to believe here, I'm a laid back, peaceful retiree, often in a good mood.

It’s real nice here in the Lower Hudson River Valley as well . I’ve got a few windows open (except at night, never at night! I button down at night!)

My yard tractor is oiled up, fully gassed and running, the lawn is clean, all the yard furniture is out and firewood has been moved around for Springtime fires!

A crisp 13c/55f in 'Sunny' Bournemouth.

Another exceptionally beautiful, tranquil evening in the neighborhood. A distant neighbor is broadcasting opera music. I usually don't like that but tonight it seems to contribute to the ambience perfectly.

reply

Sounds pleasant.

It's Autumn in Australia right now, so we're getting winter-like rain and summer-like heat, just at different intervals throughout the day, pretty crazy.

reply

It's winter here again. 😠 Thursday it was 86℉. Friday, when my son and his family (7 children) came for a weekend visit, it was 75℉. They came from North Dakota, where it was about 35℉ when they left. By the time they got here, they were peeling off jackets and sweatshirts, and very happy about the warm weather and no snow on the ground. We visited the Minnesota Zoo on Saturday. It was cold (40℉), windy and raining. This morning, we woke up to about two inches of snow on the ground. My son shoveled the sidewalk and had to clear the snow off their van before they could leave. It snowed all day today! πŸ₯Ά

It’s a momentary setback GE. I’m in the upper Midwest of the U.S. We always get one unexpected eleventh hour gust of winter before springtime is here for good.

I know what you mean. Mother Nature likes to tease us. A lot. πŸ˜‰

Weather is such a strange thing, sounds like it wore many faces for the family visit. 7 grandchildren? That must be interesting.

Interesting is a nice way of putting it. "Chaos" is the right word. I loved every minute of it!

I've just been waiting for it to get heavy again but it doesn't happenl
