GET SHORTY (1995)

HONORABLE MENTION TO ENEMY OF THE STATE AND HEARTBREAKERS....TWO EXCEPTIONAL PERFORMANCES BY HACKMAN IN LESS THAN FAVORITE FILMS.

reply

i watched scarecrow because you mentioned it. i liked it but it needed some editing.

reply

IT IS DISTINCTLY THE FIRST FILM THAT COMES TO MIND WHENEVER HACKMAN IS BROUGHT UP.

reply

Heist (2001)
The Domino Principle (1977)
The Quick and the Dead (1994)

reply

The Domino Principle was a train wreck of a film.😱

reply

How so? It serves as a fitting companion piece to The Conversation (1974) about paranoia and mistrust in institutions. Both movies harbor similar themes and explore them using real locations and actors.

reply

Funny no one has mentioned The Conversation (1974) which is supposed to be one of his best. I never saw it so can't comment.

reply

It’s excellent. Hackman has too many beauts to just pick three but them’s the rules!
