The thing about congratulations is that is starts with "con" which can mean "anti," and why should that be? So am I saying I am against "gratulations"? And why is there a "t" in there? I pronounce it as a "d." Do humans think about these things? Do some societies eschew congratulations in favor of an egalitarian approach?
Do people really mean it when they offer congratulations? Or is it just like saying "Have a nice day?" Has society dissembled to the point where nothing that is said is trustworthy?
What does a high post count really mean? Shouldn't quality count more than quantity? If a member here has both--high post count and high quality of posts--what kind of congratulations do they deserve? What did they do a thousand years ago, before our current technology? What was the equivalent of an interesting, or witty, post? Would a King or Prince shower his subject with great honors? Would I be a Duke of Knight? Would I be granted lands and estates?
Excellent! Although you forgot to randomly capitalize some of the words, and the number of questions is more reflective of early/middle TheMan18 rather than present day, you have clearly captured the spirit of the Manian dialectic.
