2023 is looking epic for movies!

Scream 6
The Exorcist
Another Blade movie
Wonka
Dungeons and Dragons
Oppenheimer
Guardians of the Galaxy 3
Aquaman 2
Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning
Indiana Jones 5

reply

i disagree. i doubt i will watch any of those.

reply

Oppenheimer just because of the stacked cast

And Scream 6 and MI 7 because I like those franchises. I feel like the new Blade will be a CGI fest and I hate CGI vampires/zombies

Zero interest in any of the others

good summary!

The only other good thing about that list ( apart from "Original historical drama (yay!!!)" ) is the ratio of MCU/DC shit is falling

reply

Ok I can understand being skeptical about Blade, Wonka and Dungeons and Dragons. But not any of the others.

I'm not saying that they will be crappy movies, but I'm tired of seeing the same movies and characters over and over again. I usually tap out on a tv series after 4 or 5 seasons because I get bored. The Marvel Universe was exhausting. DC is wanting to be the same. I don't need to see another Mission Impossible movie. It used to be that the only series that got up to 7 movies were horror movies, and usually by the time they hit 7 they were terrible. I loved the first 3 Indiana Jones movies, but I have no desire to watch a new one, even with as much as I enjoy Phoebe Waller-Bridge. You might not care about originality, but I do.

reply

LOL. Are you being sarcastic?

reply

No, I don't care about originality(everything's been thought of) I don't mind sequels/remakes/reboots at all.

reply

I don't think you understand the meaning of the word "epic".

reply

"Another Blade Movie".. called Blade.

I have hopes. My top ones right now are Oppenheimer, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Fast X, Dune: Part Two, Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3, John Wick 4, Asteroid City, The Killer and Poor Things. I'm also hoping for a chance of getting How Do You Live?, but I doubt it.
