should have more of a reputation.
in its own way, it's as raw and primal and revolutionary as the stooges imo.
9/10

reply

I think they're better than The Stooges. I have no idea why this band wasn't bigger.

reply

Brooklyn's version of Blue Cheer, it seems.

meh. 5/10

reply

A deflated 4/10.

reply

I thought you'd rate it higher.

reply

I couldn’t get past the vocals

reply

Seems to be a common criticism.

reply

Get a decent vocalist and this would be a good song.

reply

I like the distortion but the vocals are sort of weak
6/10

reply

I like it! 8/10

reply

It may be seminal but it's awful. 4/10. As was said, the vocals are weak. And the comparison to The Stooges was ridiculous.

reply

I think the vocals are strong, just not beautiful. This is what I want for a song like this.

reply

My problem with the Stooges comparison is that the Stooges were proto-punk. I think the reason your band never caught on fire is because it premiered it's "different" sound at a time when rock was gearing away from heavy r&b influences and going back to rock basics. So it's more than the vocals. But the vocals don't save it.

reply

8/10 I actually like the vocals. It's a jammin' tune.

Kinda sounds like Raven if they leaned a bit toward punk.

As long as vocals aren't high like falsetto or the guy from Greta Van Fleet, the I don't mind rough vocals.

Raven kind of sounds like Saxon.

reply

Some similarities. I love Raven and don't much like Saxon though.
