Have you ever worked on Christmas Day?

I’m a contractor and don’t get paid holidays so I work every Monday to Friday I am able to.

Yes. I don't have kids, I don't believe in Jesus, I want to avoid my relatives, and I'm sick of all the commercialism.

Heaps of times, Christimas, Boxing Day, New Years, Easter, other public holidays. Great stuff, nothing happens and triple time pay!

Only once. It was a four-hour shift from 6:00 to 10:00 pm. The day was virtually over with by that time, so it almost doesn't count.

However, that is something I will never do again. Christmas only comes once a year; it seems to take forever to arrive and before you realize it, the day has come and gone. Then it means another year of waiting. I decided long ago that Christmas is one day that will not be ruined by working. It's the only time of year I look forward to.

Hownos, you wouldn't happen to also be "savetheholiday" would you?

Back when my grandfather had his store we would work there on Christmas morning. We were usually done by noon or 1:00 at the latest.
