Remote control cars.

Are you still into them if you're an adult in your 20s/30s/40s etc, thanks.

[deleted]

I remember the Mythbusters loved using life-sized cars for that, hehe.

reply

No, but I have a couple of toy swords.

If an adult wants to spend money on toys, then it's their money to spend.

reply

Are you sure they're toys?

reply

Since one is made of suck flimsy plastic that I hesitate to use it to open the curtains, yes, that one is definitely a toy!

I suppose I could sharpen the one made of cheap blunt metal, if someone really pisses me off...

reply

Historical or fantasy swords?

reply

One of each, I suppose.

An adult needs their toys! Now my favorite adult toys are actually the camera I use for photographing wildlife and birding binoculars, my co-workers spend fortunes on their golf clubs, high-end purses, hunting rifles, gaming consoles, or climbing gear. But they're all just toys, as much as the stuffed animals one lady collects.

reply

True. And cars.

reply

My infamous neighbor, Bozo is into them. He's somewhere in his late 40s, I think. I've seen him out there several times over the past few months playing with his RC car.

reply

I was into them for a while in my early 30's. You have to make the distinction between kid's toys and hobby level stuff. Big difference between the crap they sell at Walmart and a hobby level 70mph monster truck. I got out of them about the time the brushless systems were becoming popular. I had $2500 invested in one truck. It's a bottomless pit but fun if you have a good place to run them.

reply

I love them as a kid. But Now I love real cars.

reply

Thats my problem too - they take up so much more room! to the point that it affects where you live

reply

No. I never liked them because they look nothing like the real thing. But I collect Hot Wheels.

reply

I played with them as a child, they were so fun.
