AC/DC power to No.1 in the UK album charts!🀘🎸 [EDIT] Now Worldwide (currently 18 countries)!

Apparently, 'Power Up' outsold the rest of the top 5 put together!🀘🎸

[EDIT] Also No.1 in most European territories, Australia and New Zealand.

[EDIT 2] Now No.1 in North America.

reply

Damn right! Rock on. This is why the UK puts out better music than the US.

reply

It’ll be interesting to see where it lands in North America. Currently No.1 in all the European territories. No doubt Oz and NZ will follow suit.

reply

The top 5 is going to look something like:

1. Ariana Grande
2. Justin Bieber
3. Drake
4. Taylor Swift
5. A rapper with the word "l'il" in their name.

reply

Their last 2 releases: -
Black Ice Canadia 1 USA 1
Rock or Bust Canadia 1 USA 3

So, you never know.

reply

As predicted, now No.1 in North America!

reply

There’s hope for the USA yet.

reply

Who says Rock is dead?

reply

Did I just see a pig fly?

reply

No, that would be a Pink Floyd album cover.

reply

Nice!
Still some listeners left out thereπŸ‘

reply

Record companies need to wake up to the fact that Rock is very much alive 🎸🀘

reply

Indeed...just hard to find!

reply

It doesn’t need to be.

reply

1. I can't name any of her songs
2. Same, I heard he is shit.
3. Same, the only Drake I like is Francis Drake!
4. I know a ton of hers!
5. I know l'il.😣

reply

In conclusion, popular music sucks.

reply

But if AC/DC is No.1 all over the world, then....πŸ€”

reply

I mean, lasting popularity after more than a month after an album's release.

reply

I’m just messing with you 🀣

reply

As predicted, now No.1 in Australia and NZ.

reply

[deleted]

I’d get on board for that.

reply

Awesome, I'll add this to my Xmas wishlist!!! 🀘🎸

Great to hear Brian Johnson again!

reply

Have you ever heard any Geordie? Brian Johnson's band before AC/DC.

reply

Nah, it was glam rock, I don't think they were that big.

reply

They were more hard rock than glam.

reply

Yep! I have a couple of their 7" singles in the collection.

reply

I got "Hope You Like It (1973)". Solid album.

reply

I don’t have any of their albums (yet).

reply

Sure, the blind engineer of the Enterprise D. Who hasn't heard of him?

reply

From AC/DC to NCC-1701-D🀯

reply

Just ordered mine from Amazon.

reply

I hope the new Iron Maiden live album hits the top spot too! 🀘🎸

Got mine in the post today, but not opening it until Dec 25th. LOL

reply

Nice!

reply

Long live Rock🎸🀘

reply

Mine arrived today! Ripping it now. 🎸🀘

reply

I watched a documentary about them recently and these guys didn’t seem to ever bend to the musical fads. Congratulations AC/DC.

reply

I've seen them countless times over the decades. The last time was in Dublin about 5 years ago.

reply

That’s awesome Andy. I remember in the 80’s it was hard to open any of my friends tape cases without seeing lots of AC/DC.

reply

I must have seen a thousand bands at a thousand gigs.

I miss concerts.

reply

The last concert I saw before Covid was Peter Hook playing a small venue in Texas. He played some Joy Division, New Order and some new songs. We were front row. Can’t wait till this Covid mess is over.

reply

Awesome!

My last one was Adam Ant: -

Your money or your life - ah!

reply

Good. More people are sick of bland pop and rap then the media realize.

reply

Yep! I feel sorry for the young being spoon-fed that crap for the last 20 years.

reply

It’s been a barren period overall.

reply

I took a gander at the rock and metal nominees for the Grammys, there's only one artist there that I know and like!

reply

We're getting old mate.

#PWRUP - A MESSAGE FROM BRIAN

reply

He's got to be one of the nicest guys in Rock.

Have you ever seen any of the 'On The Road' documentary / interview programmes that he did?

reply

No, I'll have to check it out! πŸ‘

reply

It was on Sky Arts; Series 1 was called Brian Johnson's A Life On The Road and Series 2 became a Life On The Road with Brian Johnson.

Basically, each week he has a pint and a chat with one of his mates. One week it'll be Roger Daltrey, the next Robert Plant, then Billy Joel, Sting, Mark Knopfler, Joe Walsh, Mick Fleetwood…..

It's great because firstly, he's a really nice guy and secondly, he's pretty well on an even par with all the people he interviews.

reply

Shot in the Dark, Realize, Kick You When You're Down, Witch's Spell & Money Shot are my faves so far, too hard to narrow it down to just three! 🀘🎸

reply

My copy should arrive by the weekend.
