The 80s was way worse than 00s !

The 70s and the 80s might be in a tie for the worst, yeah.

A great decade. For the most part your average person dressed pretty normal. It was just in music videos and movies etc where you got the crazier stuff.

I agree. I really had trouble finding nice clothes after the 90s. I think it only got better when fashion went more retro around 2010.

I was born in the 80s, but I love 80s fashion. Sure, there were some bad choices made back then, but I would have no problem wearing some of the clothes today.

I went to high school during the 70s and it was notorious for bad fashion. Bell bottom jeans, platform shoes, shirt collars and jacket lapels so wide they looked comical.

The 90s is my favorite. For one thing it had the best neckties. Even Jerry Garcia got into the act. See here, I think a good blend of modern look and classic look (except for Kramer, of course)

I don't think it was that bad as I feel like my clothes I still have could be called from the 2000s and I still wear them today. Cargo Shorts are the only thing that were popular in 2000s and are seen as repulsive now. I tried frosted tips around '01 or '02 but never again after that. I thought 90s fashion was worse but I still have flannel shirts in my closet.

I think I used a blonde dye and it turned my brown hair orange. It grew out and i looked like I had the frosted tips.

Examples of weird 80's fashion- Google images of 'parachute pants' and 'Jams shorts'

I wore them both without shame.

The thing that stood out to me in that decade was the stupid tie that Avril Lavigne popularized. Anyone remember that?

reply

THAT WAS HOT...AVRIL WAS/IS HOT...THANKS FOR THE CHUB.🙂

I don't care much for Avril. I like Alanis Morissette better. Both are Canadian.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS BAD FASHION,JUST THE MATURING AND CHANGING OF OUR OWN VIEWS ON THINGS.

The 2000's doesn't really stand out for me fashion wise, can you post some examples, I thought everyone looked pretty "normal" compared to other decades.

I remember hipster jeans sometimes worn by women who were chubby and create the "muffin top" look. And some women would wear those cardigans that were kind of small and they would only do up the first button. Again a bad look if you are chubby.

Worst decade? The 70's easily.

Was that the 2000's? I still see that sometimes, looks seriously retarded, who would want to walk around with their pants falling down all day?
