Asian culture values 2 things much more highly than Western culture, generally speaking: education and age. Asian culture associates both those qualities with wisdom—not mere knowledge. US culture has ZERO respect for age. The cultural values of the world we inhabit has an enormous influence on how we are molded.

So your doctor has every incentive to keep you well. In our country, your doctor only gets paid when we are sick! Our health system is based on pathology. The Chinese system was based on good health, which makes infinitely more sense. We are smart, but they were wise. That’s the reason I selected a native Chinese woman to be my Primary Care Provider. I literally trust her with my life.
