**Baker's Doodad - Machine Dream - Closed**

Films saliently featuring shots of industrial and complex machinery in action: gear systems, lathes, factory processes, engines, etc., (but NOT looking for ambulatory/sentient robots/characters like Terminator, Tobor, Robocop, no mechs, no cyborgs, etc.)

Oh yeah! What a great and crushing movie. I'm in love with Bjork forever.

reply

Yeap. It's a pity she gave up movies. She became too involved with the character and decided no to do it again.

reply

Is that what happened? I could sure see that, it doesn't seem like she does anything without putting her whole self into it. So great in DitD!

reply

I read about it back in the day. She really got into the character and that took a toll. Besides that, she had quite a problematic relation with Von Trier, the director. It seems that Von Trier likes to put lots of pressure in his cast so he can get the best acting possible, and that made it even more difficult for her. Once the shooting was finished, Von Trier apologized to her, but she had already decided not to act again.

That's right, the trouble with LVT sounds familiar. On the positive side of that though, it leaves more time and energy for music!

Is really no one going to say the one I can't remember the name of?
