Why does the Easter bunny carry eggs? π
Rabbits donβt lay eggs. π₯
shareIt actually is a practice that predates Christianity by a bit. The Christian Church often adopted and encouraged other religious practices to indoctrinate other religions into the Christian faith. It's the same reason Christmas is December 25, even though that isn't the day they think Christ was born on, but it helped pagan religions transition to Christianity.
shareGotta keep that collection plate full!
shareHere in Europe it's the Easter Hare. Makes much more sense, of course.
shareNot all of Europe. Apparently in France it's an Easter Squirrel - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSkfLV0vfLM
