What's your dream vehicle?

Doesn't matter which make but I'd love to own a convertible.

Lincoln Navigator

Nice choice.

Any kind of new-ish, premium/fully equipped Mustang -- 4 door would be ideal too. Colors would depend as that's harder to decide on.

The Mustang's design is what appeals most to me, but under the hood they're not too bad either (specs-wise/performance).

reply

Good one!

reply

Ford has never made a commercially available four door Mustang.

reply

What do you mean by commercially available?

You can buy Mustangs nearly anywhere.

reply

Sorry. I left out four door. I edited it. Lol.

reply

I know, but they might. I think a 4 door design would allow it to keep the same overall sporty-feel but with a body length increase and more seating/cabin room.

Some other Mustang fans might agree with this. Going by images/illustrations I think 4 door Mustangs look really nice -- at least some of them.

reply

Supposedly, they're talking about it.

1969 Jaguar XKE
God, was that ever a beautiful car!

reply

As long as it's a convertible, I'm in!

reply

And as long as it's not your primary mode of reliable transportation!!! ;)

A luxury bus fully equipped with tvs, a fridge, a microwave, a bathroom, bed and shower.

reply

This is a bit unexpected. 👍

I’m a massive petrol head and currently drive a BMW M4 convertible (hard roof, folds into the boot in 28 seconds).

I used to own a BMW M3 convertible, which I sent to get ‘Alpina-ed’ up. When they returned it to me they’d souped it up to 525bhp.

I’ve just ordered the new BMW M8 convertible with personalised specs, which is interestingly being constructed in the US and will be shipped over here in October.

I toyed with the idea of getting the BMW I8 convertible, but because it’s a gull wing, you only need an idiot to park too close to you and how are you going to open the door to get in?

When I lived in America I used to drive my uncle’s Pontiac Firebird Trans Am V8 - great for driving in straight lines.

One day I hope join a car club, where you buy points that essentially allow you to drive whatever car you like for whatever term you like, which is great, as I get bored easy, so it’ll be a Ferrari one week, followed by a Lamborghini the next and maybe a Maserati after that.

As for a dream car. I’d love to own a DeLorean and trick it out like the Back To The Future car.

Sorry for the long reply, but I just LOVE cars!

Sorry for the long reply, but I just LOVE cars!

I'd never have guessed. 😊 But 👍👍👍 for convertibles!

Mercedes 280 SE Cabriolet
De Tomaso Pantera
Rolls Royce Corniche convertible

Edited to add: Budget choices--1980s Chrysler LeBaron or Volkswagen Rabbit convertibles

reply

these days I just want a moped.
But, that 1972 Chevy Malibu convertible sure was nice.

reply

I wish I lived someplace I could do the moped thing. But I live in cold country so it's out of the question during the winter. I could really go for that Malibu, though.

A 60's VW Bus with a ton of windows and skylights
Color is unimportant (just not brown!)

Those were some cool wheels and are way out of my price range now

reply

Back in those days the VW bus was more spacious. Nowadays, vehicles have so much safety equipment they're a bit claustrophobic.

reply

I feel you
My airbags make me a bit nervous

I've yet to need them but from what I hear the airbags will bust my fingers and nose the moment they deploy...sounds worse than an outright wreck to me

reply

I'm even more concerned. Being short, I sit quite close to the steering wheel...I'm afraid the airbag will kill me if it deploys. My mom had a couple of fingers broken when hers deployed (years ago).

reply

Jeez, talk about an imperfect technology

I always pictured you as a small woman (and one that kicks ass!
I love how you shovel snow and mix it up with the crazy neighbors)

You are awesome kiddo, just drive safely please😙

reply

I don't know that I'm kick-ass, but whatever. Defensive driving is my motto. Idiots are everywhere. And it's even worse now with the folks who can't put their dang phones down. That minor crash I had about a year ago was a reminder to be extra careful. The other driver and I were both surprised that our airbags didn't deploy (thank goodness) because it sounded horrible.

reply

Oh please, you kick ass and I adore you!

I do about 3 hours a day commuting and the number of idiots texting and driving is ridiculous, it's simply insane!

I average 65-80 MPH most of the drive and I glance over at some dummy texting away in the next car?!?

Texting and driving makes me furious

reply

Good grief! Three hours a day?? Yeah, texting makes me angry, too. It's insane and horrible the number of people who have lost their lives because of it. ARGH!! I still don't understand why vehicular manslaughter isn't punished more heavily. I won't even talk on the phone while I'm driving.

reply

I never answer the phone while driving

Never

It's a high speed dance of death out there on the highways

I do about 600 miles a week, at high speed and the traffic is heavy...
I'd be dead if I weren't mission aware!

I'd love to question these dummies that text while doing 75 MPH!

reply

The problems is too many folks think they're excellent drivers and can handle it. 🙄

reply

and a huge peace sign

reply

When I hit the lotto I'm getting a VW Bus with a gigantic peace sign on the grill, I think Cherry Red is my color

They start at 50k now
I used to see them all over the block!
Damn...
