The reason that nobody's ever done a McCartney biopic is that the real McCartney is alive, and able to afford all the lawyers in the world. Nothing is happening there, without his approval.
And the reason nobody's made a film about Ringo is that he hasn't done anything but enjoy life for the last few decades, more power to him! And no actor alive today is as effortlessly charming.
No, George is the one who's been underserved. I do need to see that documentary, because he really did live an interesting life. Sex, drugs, rock and roll, cults, messy public divorces, Monty Python and Handmade Films, and Friar Park.

I agree with all of this. I don't think an actor really could do Ringo either, but his backstory is still interesting nonetheless. The Martin Scorsese documentary about George is great and covers a lot (as others have already mentioned), but a movie would also be really good to watch. He was definitely a fascinating individual, I mean he went from this quiet kid to everything you mentioned. I never stopped to consider Paul and lawyers, so that makes a lot of sense.
Cynthia Lennon's book would make an excellent film, but speaking of lawyers, I believe that and Yoko is why is hasn't happened yet.
