What makes you happy?

Simple things make me happy
For me:

A sharp pocket knife
Petting my rabbits
Mowing the lawn
Pizza...any kind really
Pleasing my wife
Chopping firewood
Finding a tool I lost months ago
Chinese takeout
Cleaning and polishing firearms
Keeping the garage tidy
Rock and Pop music...music in general
Payday
Hearing my kids laugh

Knowing my family is happy.
Good friends.
A good book.
Music.
A good joke.
An outdoor summertime nap in the chaise lounge with a warm breeze wafting.
Birdsong.
Marching bands in parades.
A summertime walk around the lake.
Puppies and kittens.
Christmas lights.
Summer thunderstorms that break a heat wave.
And even though I’m not a fan of winter, a nighttime walk after a heavy snowfall when there’s hardly anyone out, no traffic, and sounds are muffled – so peaceful.

Summer thunderstorms that break a heat wave.

Excellent one ! I've experienced this often. I like to sit on my front porch in just my shorts, beer in hand, absolutely savoring being pummeled by the rain.

I love seeing lightning bugs (that's what we call them) but I don't see them very often anymore. I get very excited when I do see even one!

As a kid, we loved trying to catch them. We'd put them in a glass jar that had holes punched in the top. It was fun to see how many we could get. We always ended up letting them go at the end of the night, though.

Stability
My cats cuddling against me when I lay down for the night
Good ideas/brainstorming
Buying nice or interesting things
Good movies

Stability is underrated imo

Hell, I'm so stable (read boring) it took me a second to figure out what you meant by 'casual...fun'
But now I remember😉

I remember saying to my wife I thought I was too boring for her when we were dating. She said she had enough excitement from her previous boyfriend who was the typical Italian - fast car and jewelry and parents with too much money.

The longer I'm around the more payday matters..I like money a whole lot, the whole 'Love' thing is nice enough though...
