You should visit "Armchair Oscars, or They Wuz Robbed". It lists actors and movies which should have won for every year Oscars have been given out. It's fascinating imho.

You're welcome. I find it fascinating because I rarely agree with Hollyweird pinheads when it comes to Best Picture.
BTW, I've seen every Oscar Winning Movie, and every movie which Armchairs Oscars thinks should have won.

Of course, seeing last year's winner "The Shape of Water" was painful because it was a stupid and disgusting pos. 2/10.
But I had to take one for the team.

While I like some of the Oscar winning movies, I think Oscars are for political statements, not art.

Romeo is Bleeding 6.6 on IMDB, ** from Roger Ebert.

It's kind of meaningless because if every film was released in a different year, we'd have a mostly different set of winners.

so, applauding an actor for 2 Oscar wins doesn't mean they are any better than the one with 0 wins. But, people hold the ceremony close to their heart and want it to mean something, understandably. It's more about the odds, than political statements.

Yep. It's been a while since I saw this movie, but it struck me because the character was so different from the typical John Wayne roles we usually think of.
