Actors with one good film

Are there any actors who have been the lead...or one of the leads...in one film you like...but you dislike all of their other work?

Julia Roberts comes to mind. I thought she was okay in Pretty Woman. I wouldn't say I particularly dislike all the rest of her performances. I dislike some, and find others forgettable. Like, I'm always mildly surprised when I remember she was in Hook.

Harold Russell, Danny Lloyd, Ivan Jandl

Danny Lloyd is he ultimate one and done actor....made one movie....it was awesome....it was memorable...and he never made another movie.

reply

Give Harold Russell a break. He didn't have hands to have a decent career.

reply

Hey samoanjoes....true....but he did win two Oscars for one movie....not thinking that has happened too many times....at least from the actor side of things.

Brad Davis in Midnight Express

Jennifer Lopez in "Out of Sight."

Peter Ostrum, the actor who portrayed the young boy, Charlie, in 'Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory' leaps to mind, not because he was bad in other feature films per se, but in own words, "everybody thinks that acting is such a glamorous profession, but it's a difficult profession." It's his only film. Instead, he went on to pursue his lifelong passion as a veterinarian.
