Most traumatising film you've seen ?

Bastard out of Carolina (1996)

reply

I've never been "traumatized" by a movie. There are several movies I've seen that I thought were excellent movies, but were so intense I feel no need to experience that again. Some examples are "Sling Blade", "The Dark Knight", and "Saving Private Ryan".

Possibly some horror/slasher flicks would come to mind for some people, but I've never had any interest in those. A few monster movies is about as far as I go in that area.

Class of 1999 2: The Substitute

twinB and I saw this movie in North Carolina visiting our MeMa a long time ago. She was trying her best to keep the two of us occupied by randomly finding a generic action flick on TV. She left the room and the TV remote out of our reach thinking she found something safe for us to watch. Let's just say twinB and I were glued to the screen, unable to grasp or handle what was unfolding before our very eyes O_O. I was scarred for a long time after that. Thanks MeMa!

Works of fiction have never really traumatized me...documentaries often do. none like Dear Zachery: a letter to a son about his father...Jesus god!

I was born not far from where she jumped into the Atlantic. Terrible and sad.

I think we've talked about it hownos...beyond unacceptable behavior! And to devastate two people in their twilight years like she did...really hurt watching. I've told many people...perhaps even you...it is a movie I can not recommend...and one I can not recommend enough.
