HBO2 is running a marathon today of the excellent miniseries “John Adams”.

Paul Giamatti stars as Adams, Laura Linney as Abigail Adams and Stephen Dillane as Thomas Jefferson.

Quite the cast though!

I cancelled my cable (those jerks raised my monthly rate to about $240 a month!!!)
i got that 'Firestick' thing...still trying to figure out how to work it lol

$240? YIKES!
We canceled ours about 4 years ago when ours was raised to $200 a month. Talk about saving money! It adds up on a yearly basis.
We like streaming now..... we also have an antenna up on the roof. We get about 14 channels with that.
Wish I could watch that marrathon though. We don't subscribe to HBO2.

I have Netflix and Amazon Prime and this firestick thingy and that cool Alexa box you can yap into...im having all sorts of fun figuring it all out lol😤

We have a roku box for two of the TVs and there is a smart TV in the bedroom so it has streaming built in. If I sound unsavy, I am!
My husband has that Alexa round thingy that you talk into. I'm still figuring it out! That thing started yapping at me one day out of the blue. Scared the cat half to death!

I have the Roku downstairs in my den
The alexa/firestick is on the first floor
The bedroom TV is offline and out of commision at the moment...i have a lot of work to do with all of this😓

Jack is a sport and im sure he wont mind

I really miss that show. So groundbreaking and what a cast.
One of the best ever.
Now they don't show it at all.
A lot of people will never get to see it.

Nothing.

I remember reading something on different people owning different rights?
Maybe it has to do with the compensation for the actors.
Their were some fairly big names on that show.
Including Denzel.
Plus the first season didn't sell like they wanted it to.

From what I've seen they release almost everything.
Why not this? It's better than most.

I completely agree with you. I wondered about the fact that it didn't sell like they wanted it to. They are short-sighted to not cash in on Denzel's popularity. I suspect it's a rights issue, but who knows?

I was busy today. Mrs Hownos and her sister left for a 6 day vacation. She left everything to the last minute and the airport was busy and there was delays because of the weather. What a shit storm.

The answer to your question. I would go with one of the better educated Presidents and 19th century because of Latin. Jefferson would have been my first guess because he had a flair for languages. My guess would be Franklin Pierce or James Garfield.

It would hurt her feelings.

She will also know that you need her.
